# GitHub Sync, Import & Export

> Connect GitHub, import repositories, push and pull changes, and export projects from LaTeX Cloud Studio.

LaTeX Cloud Studio includes GitHub account connection, repository import, export, and sync workflows in the current app.

## Available Today

* Connect a GitHub account
* Import a repository as a project
* Export a project to GitHub
* Push local project changes to GitHub
* Pull remote changes from GitHub
* Handle sync conflicts during push/pull flows

## Portable Project Transfers

Outside the GitHub workflow, you can also:

* Upload a ZIP archive to start from an existing project
* Export a project as a ZIP for backup or migration

## Recommended Use Cases

| Goal                               | Best workflow               |
| ---------------------------------- | --------------------------- |
| Start from an existing repository  | GitHub import               |
| Back up a project for transfer     | ZIP export                  |
| Keep a repo and editor in sync     | GitHub push/pull            |
| Move a project from another editor | ZIP upload or GitHub import |

## Migration Guidance

  This page intentionally avoids claiming a public direct Overleaf account connection. If your source project lives elsewhere, export it first and then import via ZIP or GitHub.
