<Info>
  **Status**: Live\
  **Last reviewed**: March 8, 2026\
  **Primary docs**: [Collaboration, Comments & History](/product/collaboration-comments-and-history)
</Info>

Use this task guide when you want to move from solo editing to a shared project workflow.

## Invite an Editor

1. Open the project as the owner.
2. Go to the collaboration or project settings workflow.
3. Enter the collaborator's email address.
4. Send the invite and confirm it appears in pending invitations or active members.

## Use Comments for Review

1. Open the file that needs discussion.
2. Add a comment at the relevant line.
3. Reply inside the thread if clarification is needed.
4. Edit or delete your own comments if the discussion changes.

## Current Access Model

* `owner`: controls the project and invitations
* `editor`: contributes directly to files and comments

<Warning>
  Public viewer/commenter-only roles and suggestion-mode review are not the canonical live workflow here.
</Warning>

## When Collaboration Fails

* Recheck the email address
* Confirm the owner is sending the invite
* Confirm the current plan supports the workflow
* Use [Fix Build and Access Issues](/product/tasks/fix-build-and-access-issues) if access looks wrong
