Last reviewed: March 8, 2026
Applies to: Shared projects in the editor
LaTeX Cloud Studio supports real-time collaboration, project invites, comments, and file-level history.

Live Collaboration Capabilities

  • Invite collaborators by email
  • Project roles for owner and editor
  • Presence and live collaboration indicators in active projects
  • Comments panel with edit, delete, and reply flows
  • File version history and diffs
  • Manual labels and snapshots for recovery workflows

Plan and Access Notes

Collaboration availability can depend on plan status. The app currently treats invitations and team collaboration as a premium workflow in several places, so always confirm access against the current pricing page.

How Collaboration Works Today

Share a project

  1. Open the project.
  2. Use the collaboration/share workflow.
  3. Invite an editor by email.
  4. Monitor active members and pending invitations from project settings.

Leave comments

  • Add comments in the editor workflow.
  • Review them in the comments panel.
  • Edit, delete, or reply to your own comments when needed.

Recover work

  • Open the version-history workspace for file diffs and restore actions.
  • Use snapshots or labeled versions to mark milestones before risky edits.

What Is Not Canonical Here

  • This page does not document public viewer/commenter-only roles as the main app permission model.
  • Threaded review systems, suggestion mode, and broader roadmap collaboration concepts remain separate from the canonical live workflow described here.
